Pay Increase for Becoming Certified?

Hi! I am an LPN (12 years), work in LTC in NE Ga., and soon will become wound care certified. Could anyone tell me how much of pay increase I should expect? Thanks!

Having worked in wound care for numerous years now, I am looking into certification. My question is, what is the difference, if any in CWS and WCC?

Typically, the WCC is not as highly recognized as the CWS. The CWS is offered by the American Academy of Wound Management and consists of a board exam with no special classes or text books..whereas the WCC is a one week seminar that offers you the certification at the end of the week. Not that I am knocking the WCC, because I have thought about it myself... but all of the physicians that I work with state that the CWS is more "respected" amongst the wound care society. WCS requires a BSN and the yearly dues are a LOT more than my RN license. The one week course is not a requirement for WCC. You can just take the test. It does not require a BSN. LPN's and PT's can take it, too. There are no yearly dues.
