Pay for Hospice Case Managers

I work for a not-for-profit hospice and think my pay may be way low, I have heard some talk of capping our wage at 25/hr. Does anyone have any imput on this?

I am a case manager for hospice. I have been an RN for 9 years. I make $21.50/hr. Our hospice pays quite a bit less than the hospitals in our area, but I still would not return to the hospital. I love working with Hospice patients and their families. (I'm in WV)

God Bless.

I also work non profit and my salary is quite a bit less than what Vistacare or the other for profits pay. I've been doing Hospice for nearly 10 years as a case manager and I make just under 25/hr. VistaCare starts their nurses around here at about 26/hr but I'd rather be where I am.

I've been in home care for 10 years, a nurse for 14 years. I make around 25/hr. That's around the average.

I think this would depend primarily on your geographic area, your level of experience and your employer's status as union or non-union.

I work for a for-profit in a major metro area in the Pacific NW (non-union)and our pay scale is approx 26-29/hr. This is low in comparison to the hospital-associated hospices in our area, where the hourly rate runs into the low 30's.
