Patient Care Technician Recognition Week

So, I am an Periop Per Diem Educator at a community hospital that depends ALOT on our Patient Care Technicians (as I am sure we all do). My question is, WHY do we not have a PCT Recognition Week. I have searched the internet for a possible day/week but nothing is set to recognize our PCT. We could lump them in with the CNA's BUT considering there is a difference in their job descriptions and usually pay rates along with the amount of PCT's we need to make our hospitals/O.R's run efficiently, do they not deserve their own time to be recognized? I have searched and searched, we have a lot of recognition weeks for other areas, we even have a "patient" recognition day..I do think that PCT's deserve a specific designated time were we can nationally recognize them for the hard work and dedication. If anyone celebrates their PCT's or knows of a "specific" recognition day for them could you please let me know. Please share the ways that you recognize them also, either on a daily/weekly or certain time period of the year. Thank you
