PassPoint VS UWorld

Published

Hello,

I am using LWW to prepare for the NCLEX.

Does anyone have an opinion comparing this tool to UWorld - #1 Test Prep for USMLE, ABIM, ABFM, NCLEX, SAT, ACT & MCAT?

Thank you.

My school used PassPoint for the last quarter of class. I found that it didn't help me much, because when it came time for our NCLEX predictor test, I bombed badly. It starts off giving you Level 1 questions, and the difficulty ramps up the more questions you get right, which means that to get to do passing level questions, you'll have to do a bunch of easy ones first. To me, that's simply a waste of time.

On the other hand, Uworld gives you questions that are at least as difficult as the passing level ones on NCLEX. Their rationales are great, and you'll nod your head and go "Oh ok!" whenever something is explained to you. I primarily used Uworld to study for the NCLEX (Kaplan didn't work for me), and passed in 86 questions.

tl;dr if you want to prepare for the NCLEX, my recommendation is to use UWorld.

Thank you! That is of great help. I'm starting my last semester (unfortunately for the second time, clinical issues) so maybe I'll switch over when my PassPoint subscription ends.

Appreciate it.
