Just found out that I passed the NCLEX-RN! It was extremely hard for me because I couldn't get back into the program for two years after failing clinical. (mid way point of the clinical.) During those two years, I forgot most of the meds. I was a 2.5 GPA student too.
Graduated in June 2016, ATT in october 2016 (my app got lost.....smh..waited forever....no inspiration to study bc i had no att.)
Kaplan Secure predictor A for School* 54% (4/28/2016)
Diagnostic A 56.1% in (6/5/2016)
QT 1 50.7% (6/5/2016)
QT 2 60% (9/18/2016) I did 75qs or 2 of the focused review test a day and then reviewed it.
QT 3 49% (10/5/2016) I was devastated(got my att)...... did 150 each day and reviewed...got hemorrhoids...
QT 4 58.7% (10/10/2016)
QT 5 60.7% (10/16/2016)
QT 6 58.5% (10/18/2016)
QT 7 58.1% (10/21/2016)
RN Readiness A 70% (10/23/2016) I have no idea how i got a 70.... *Big confidence boost before the test! 99.1%
NCLEX: 75 questions, 13 SATA bunch of priority questions, @ 12 pm. finished @ 1:20 pm (10/25/2016) I felt good...I was like... yeah its going to turn off. and boom 75. But I started getting paranoid after an hour... Initially, I got the bad pop up 1.75 hours after the test...And then..@ 2hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, and 24 hours I got the good pop up. I kept reading the same allnurses thread about the good pop up not working and etc...
During this time, I used almost all the of the Q banks ?s (151 Qs left), reviewed the questions i missed. overall score was 55%. (not good)
Did not review at all until september 15. All the studying was done @starbucks around 12-7pm Tall iced coffee with regular sweetener chugged before the tests. I would pray to God for wisdom, endurance, knowledge, and strength.
I read the whole RN kaplan book, did all the focused review test. Saw all the videos on the review test. wrote notes. I didnt re read my notes.. in total of 30 pages.... lol....
I read the 45 page review 3 times before the test.. I knew most of the things... but it was helpful..
TIP: Pray to Jesus. Literally...I would stop at questions 12, 30, 45, 55,60, and then 75, 100, 125, 150, so on and whisper the lord's prayer. (practice tests.
Study @ the time you're planning to take the test. Do the same rituals.
Do the Questions! I think I got blessed with the "easy" questions... (the questions I knew).. sure I didn't know the meds, but don't freak out breathe!
Don't let kaplan discourage you! It only measures how much you know at that moment!
Go on your break! I went to break at question 20! I had to pee... lol.
I was ready to tackle the whole 265 questions!
Do all the questions and review it! You know more than you think! I calculated and i did about 3,890 questions or something... I added them all.. lol..
Good luck to you all!
