So I took the AANP FNP exam today and passed. It took about 2 hours and wasn’t as daunting as I imagined it to be. I studied the Fitzgerald and Leik books and went through all 700+ questions on the Leik app about 1.5 times. Good luck to all those preparing. It is definitely true that you get out of NP school what you put into it. Don’t just do the bare minimum to get by. Really apply yourself and learn the material and you will do fine.
Now, on to the continuation of job searching.

Congratulations!!! I'm so jealous, I am taking the AANP FNP Exam Saturday and I'm internally freaking out. But I feel like I have done just about all I can to prepare..and my brain is at capacity! Any last minute tips for me lol?
Just be confident that the knowledge you've gained over the past couple years combined with studying certification prep will give you the information you need to pass. And it is definitely helpful to remind yourself (even during the exam) to NOT overthink the question. Just take what they're asking at face value. There were MAYBE 3-4 questions that felt like they were trying to be a little tricky, everything else was pretty straightforward and knowledge-based.
Thank you so much! I'm so ready to get this over with and give my overstuffed brain a much needed vacation!! Congratulations again!!
