Pasadena City College LVN to RN

Published

Hey guys,

I got my acceptance letter to the Pasadena LVN to RN bridge program yesterday :) :) So excited and relieved that I got in. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on what to study between now and the June start for the transition course? I want to prepare myself to do well in class! Thanks in advance.

You don't need to study for that class lol. You will meet once a week for 6 weeks. It's very easy. You should focus on 3rd semester material. Which is fluid & electrolytes, renal, cancer, psych, pharmacology. And practice your dosage calculations as it will be on computer.

Thank you so much!! That definitely helps especially since there's quite some time between now and the end of June. Have you already finished the program?

No. I'm in 4th. Just 8 more weeks left and spring break is next week :-)

Congratulations!!

I just applied to the LVN to RN program and my anxiety is really getting to me :(

How many points did you get if you don't mind me asking? I got 78 points total I believe; 3.6 GPA on prereqs, overall should be a little higher (not sure what it is), TEAS: 78%, I got 1,000 hours of work, and a few other little things like extra language and need to work.

I really really hope I get in!!
