Anyone have any information about Palomar Pomerado Hospital? I am new to San Diego and am deciding between offers at Sharp Grossmont and Palomar Hospital in Escondido. I'm not sure about the pay and benefits of each one and was wondering if anyone knew which one is better. I live closer to Palomar but don't want to be stuck in a hospital with low pay and okay benefits.

Palomar-Pomerado is a district hospital, to recall, with funds from taxpayer dollars - more specifically then Sharp Grossmont. I have heard that Palomar is now a union hospital, not sure about Sharp. Traffic is terrible if you live in the area of P/P versus Sharp..........used to live in LaJolla.............

thanks for the input. I am interviewing for an L&D position at Palomar today. I know they are union now...California Nurses Union. Hopefully they offer good pay and benefits because they are about 10 mins from my house.

Hello! I know it has been a while since you made this post. However, I have the same dilemma now. I'm a new grad with an opportunity to work either at Sharp Grossmont or Palomar. Any advice?
Thanks
