I didn't fly, I drove. I did keep my service dress in a garment bag in the car. It did get wrinkled a little. Yes, you can iron it, but carefully. I used a hankerchief or a pillow case in between the iron and material. You can check 2 bags. I would say a big suitcase and the duffle packed full. I had a laptop backpack so I could carry it all once I got there.
And as an ahead... there aren't buses back to the airport after COT, but you can get taxi's.

Hey All!
Air Force COT Class 10-06 begins in 12 days with lots of people beginning the trek before then. Some are flying and others driving (obviously.)
I am one of the ones that will be flying and I was wondering if either any prior service or prior COT attendees have any advice for packing.
I plan on bringing a suitcase, the listed duffel, and my laptop bag (hopefully I'll be able to fit this in my suitcase once I land.) Would it be best to pack uniforms in the duffel and then toiletries, etc in the suitcase?
The Service uniform is dry clean only so I am paranoid about folding it up and then having to iron it at COT. Is it okay to iron? Ha. Or would a garment bag be best? Can you carry on a garment bag onto an airplane?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!
