Hi all, this has most likely already been posted, but.....we are reviewing and updating Policies & Procedures in our Level III NICU. We are needing evidence based stuff. Can anyone post some good web-sites to find this info???

You should become a member of NANN. They have position papers on several issues. If you are a member of NANN and ANN you will receive journals which have lots of good articles and the articles have resources listed as to the evidence and studies used in the articles. NANN also has a program which offers everything you need to do a policy and procedure manual without having to reinvent the wheel; it's on DVD I believe and although its a bit expensive I've heard great things about it. (http://www.nann.org) The American Academy of Pediatrics has a good website. AWHONN has good information about neonatal skin care. (NANN = National Association of Neonatal Nurses; ANN = Academy of Neonatal Nursing). There are many neonatal nursing books with evidence based information in them. Amazon has a good listing of them.

Also, ihi.org is a good spot to go for bundles, etc :)

You're welcome. I forgot to mention that being a member of NANN you can join one of their listserv groups (or more than one) which cover topics from education to staff nursing, etc. You can speak with other nurses all around the country and share policies and get loads of information about evidenced-based policies, etc. I love being on their listservs. Good luck with your endeavors. Very important and detailed work you are diving into..
