I am looking to hear from anyone who has worked at Parkland and/or gone through the Operating Room Nurse Residency there. I had an interview for the OR Residency today, and it went really well. The first 4-6 weeks will be 5 days a week of didactic "classroom" learning, which sounds pretty intense. Just wanted to hear what anyone else has to say about the program and how intense/challenging it is. Thanks!

How was the interview? I am currently employed at parkland and applied for the OR residency but have not heard anything yet. Do you know how many they are accepting?
The interview went great. Met with 2 very nice OR managers. I believe they said they had over 200 applications, were interviewing about 30, and would fill 8 positions. I know it would be an amazing experience. I wish I could talk to someone who has done it. good luck to you!
Awesome! May I ask do you have a BSN? Are you a new grad? And did you end up hearing anything yet about your interview?
I am graduating with my BSN this week. They told me during the interview that they would make decisions by the week of May 20.
Just curious did u ever hear anything after the interview?

I also interviewed for OR Residency position in the OR. Heard anything yet? I called and sent an email but lady at front desk said they still had not made a decision. Patiently waiting on pins and needles to hear something. í ½í¸
Darn. I never got a call for an interview and I'm currently employed there
I'm sorry. I'm afraid I didn't get it bc they told us they would email within 2 weeks and still nothing. They said they were still interviewing when I called too. Maybe there's still a chance. I thought they may be hiring more bc there will be many more OR rooms in the new hospitals but said we're hiring 8.
I hope you get it. It would be such a great experience. I'm pretty sure they send emails of acceptance and denials at the same time tho.
Has anyone heard anything?
