OR renovations

We are currently undergoing OR renovations. We have been temporarily relocated to the labor and delivery rooms. It has been very stressful for the staff. Has anyone been through OR renovations? How did the staff handle it and would you have any helpful tips for us? Thanks.

Renovations are not fun. I have been involved with two of them. You don't want to be in L&D and they don't want you. If the renovations is going to be short in duration just grit your teeth and bear it. If it is going to be for a long time try to be helpful to the L&D staff. Bring some food, all nurses like to eat and it is a good way to be accepted. The most important thing to remember is "It wont last for ever" Good Luck
