I would just like to hear your opinions on this exam if you have already taken it and any suggestions to get ready for it?

I would contact the school that you have to take it for, ask them if they recommend any particular study guides.
There are quite a few different ones out there, this is the one I used. Admission Assessment Exam Review / Edition 2 by HESI | 9781416056355 | Paperback | Barnes & Noble
I gave myself any where 4 to 6 weeks to study. Obviously the longer the better.
Also, take the HESI A2 exam, after the majority of your prereqs are done. Such as chem, physics, math, and a/p classes.
The trick is to do the practice test a few times. After each section there is about 10-15 questions then a quick test also at the end.
What really really helped me was that I COMPLETED the whole book about 3 times. Front to Back.
I did not write in the book that much, unless I was taking notes on the side or doing calculations, I had a separate notebook for that, so when I was redoing it, I could not "cheat" of my previous answers.
As I read through each section, I took notes in my notebook and reviewed them in between classes or when I had free time. I also read each section 1 to 2 times.
The point I'm trying to make is repetition is key. Don't rely on going through that book once.
Review it. Review it several times. Do all the questions over and over, that book really prepared me.
AND! don't just be like okay, I got this right and I got that wrong and just mark it off. Work at the problem. Why did you get it wrong? Where was the missed logic or miscalculation? And even more importantly, understand Why was the answer right? What steps did I take to get to the right answer?
LAST PART: when you take the exam, the on screen calc SUCKS! I only used it to double check my answers. I did all my calculations by hand. Get in the habit of it.
best of luck :)
ALSO! use quizlet and flash cards to help you with vocab and other stuff. and I used a lot of diagrams to go through mitosis and meiosis, just to make sure I understood all the steps and visualizing it really helped me through.
