Ontario RPN to RN Bridging

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Published

Hi,

I just completed my RPN program with a 3.17 GPA. Does anyone know bridging programs in Ontario that has a minimum requirement of 3.0 GPA (70%) other than Centennial/Ryerson, as most other schools I have checked so far requires a 3.5 GPA (75%).

Also, has anyone applied to centennial or schools that require a minimum of 3.5 GPA with only around a 3.0 cumulative GPA from their RPN program that has gotten accepted?

Thank you in advance!

Unfortunately no, being in Ontario and apply for nursing schools here is competitive as is, especially if you plan on bridging. Even when they say 3.5 GPA, they'll have student's that are applying with 85-95% and they give them the offer vs some with a 75% even though they state it as their minimum.

I applied to Ontario Tech University and received an offer last week. I suggest taking 2 - 3 university electives and aim for 90% to ensure you get the 4 points added towards your GPA.

I hope that helps
