Ontario 2023 Accelerated Nursing Admissions

Published

Hello fellow applicants! I am making this forum for everyone who has applied for accelerated nursing for 2023 intake and is looking for some support! I hope that we can all give each other some support and advice during this stressful time. Please no negativity!

I have applied for UofT, Mac, and Western's accelerated nursing programs, as well as the 4 year programs at Western and Mac. Anyone in a similar boat?

We've all got this!

Hello!

I am a 4th year BSc in biology at Laurier. I applied to Mac, UofT and Trent. I could not apply to other accelerated programs due to only have one physiology course (the rest require 2 physiology courses). So far, I've gotten into Trent but only have 2 more weeks to accept.

Congrats on getting into Trent! I believe you can accept Trent for now and then if you get in somewhere else you'd rather go you can withdraw your acceptance and accept another school.

Thank you! I'm going to ask OUAC about that. Trent is really far from my family and it's also a longer program (2.5 years instead of 2). Hoping I get into either Mcmaster or UofT! Do you know at which campus accelerated Mcmaster is? I know for their regular 4 year program you have the option between main, Conestoga and Mohawk but there's no info for the accelerated stream.

I'm also hoping for Mac or UofT cause then I could commute! I'm pretty sure the accelerated stream for Mac is on the main Mac campus. I did also apply for the MoMac program, but from what I understand almost all nursing programs are on the main campus there!

Hey guys! I applied to only western this year (Im from the area and don't really want to move). I got 4th quartile casper (wrote on feb 21st). I'm nervous my GPA will not be high enough (haven't calculated what it is though, I typically get 80s and 90s, but some of my classes this semester I've been struggling). Does anyone know when they send out offers? I know they typically send some out at the beginning of march but they didn't have my casper results at that point.

Hi! I'm in the same boat with western, but I did apply to some other schools. I wrote my casper on the 21st as well. I got an email this week saying "hang in there", so I assume that means they're still reviewing applications? I am pretty sure they send them out until the end of May. Wishing you luck! ?

I am so impatient too lmao, I hate waiting like this! My top choice is Mac because it's closer to home but my second is Western! Maybe we will be classmates ?

Did anyone who applied to Nipissing receive an email about the suspended admission? What is going on?:(
