Online RN in CO?

U.S.A. Colorado

Published

Does anyone know of a legitimate entry-level RN program (can be Associates, Bachelor's, or Master's) that is acceptable for Colorado residents? I have a previous bachelor's and master's degree in another subject.

We have some great traditional in-person programs here in Colorado, but I would LOVE to find a program where the coursework is done virtually, with local clinicals as I homeschool my babies.

Thank you for your input and ideas!

Would be interested in an online-coursework LPN program as well, if anyone's got any ideas! Thanks!

Wanted to post an update, in case anyone finds this thread by googling the same sort of question.

I found a program I am excited about and am applying to at Lake Area Technical College in South Dakota! It is an online LPN with five 3-day on-sites in near Watertown and then the bulk of clinicals done close to your home. They have many states approved to do this. I actually reached out and they contacted the Dept. of Nursing in Colorado and confirmed it would work. So if your state isn't listed, ask!

Bonus for moms or full-time workers, they offer a part-time online option for the LPN that takes 22 months or the full-time 12-month option. They also offer a full-time online RN program with a similar set up for after the LPN certification so a person could cruise on through to their RN.

Here's their website:

All the best! God bless!

I found another school that is an accelerated BSN program (ABSN) through University of Wisconsin at OshKosh that looks stellar too and works in CO as well as other states remotely with a couple weeks onsite in Wisconsin.
