Online required courses for nursing school

Hello everyone,
Its been an while since I been on allnurses website. It's good to be back. I have been trying to find schools that offer online classes that I can take at home. I'm currently attending the a California state college. I haven't completed by A & P I and II and chem and bio chem and micro. I was wondering if anyone knows of a school that offers these online. I live in California and will do whatever it take to finish these classes. I was just recently told that I need emergency surgery on my ear and I don't want to stop going to school. I don't have to much time to become a nurse I'm already 40. I have six children that I have to take care of. I don't get any help from their dear old dad. I really need some advice and support. I will have to apply for ssi benefits because I will be out for about a month. Can someone give me some advice. Thanks !!

Thanks Mike that is a great resource. I will apply for this program in the Fall 2006 program. Are you currently involved in this program? I see that you are in the Army. Where are you stationed? I am a CRNA in the Army and back in school for my PhD in Neuroscience on the Army's bill (I get my education, they get a few more years....fair trade). My family and I live in MD and I attend the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda.

I have been taking my prerequisites with them for dental hygiene since Feb 2005 and love their courses and the teachers! I am finishing up my A&P course next week. Each course is 5 weeks long. Some of the courses are more intense than others, depending on the teacher that is teaching. Right now this school is only offering the first part of A&P. I am trying to get them to start the second one next year, but if they don't I will have to take it somewhere else. I do have to say they are quite pricey, but for the convenience and short amount of time to finish one course it is great!!

I'm interesting in taking classes at SJVC. What is the cost of the classes. Does other colleges accept this classes. I would like to know theses things so I can start right away. Please e-mail me!
