Mane applicants spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Getting excited to apply to the program at a few different Mane schools. NHCC, Century, Anoka Ramsey. Just wanted to see what everyone's composit scores are, and where you are applying???

So update on my end; my GPA came out to only a 3.5 due to a miscommunication with a professor (partially due to my own fault, I will admit) and me also miscalculating what my GPA would be before the final grades were entered. Kinda kicking myself in the butt, but it's in the past at this point and I'll just have to focus on upping my TEAS score on Thursday. If all goes well I should still be in decent shape to get accepted at Inver Hills!

How did your retake go, Alyssa?

Update. I decided to apply to Inver hills as well. My GPA there is 3.71, overall composite score will be 11.64. Reading through other threads it feels like maybe Inver Hills tends to be more competitive? Any thoughts on that from people who have actually attended IH???

I was waitlisted at Century for fall semester with a composite score of 11.2. I just retook my TEAS and got 90% and boosted my composite score to 12.2. Hoping to get in for Spring 2018.

Sjknutson that's probably going to do it for you, that's a great score! When I spoke to an advisor at Century she told me that people in the high 10 range who were waitlisted got in for fall. Apparently her information was a bit off. Good luck to you!!!

Hey ya'll. I'm applying at Century with a 11.67 composite score. I'm really nervous because from what I hear I'm kind of at the low end. So we will see. This wait is going to be hard! Good luck to all of us!

bonitafly23... I am nervous too. My advisor told me my 11.4 was likely to get in, but then I read past threads and hear from people who applied for fall and it seem like I got some bogus information. Good luck to all of us!

I only managed to bump my score up to an 82%, so I'll be going in with around an 11.7 composite score. Feeling pretty okay about it for the most part, although not as confident as I'd like. I literally just dropped off my application because I didn't feel comfortable mailing it, but with my crazy schedule today was the first day I could get in there!

In response to people worrying about the other threads - I don't 100% trust them in terms of what to expect from a minimum score because it really varies so widely from school to school? The other thing is that the threads are a very small representative pool from each school so it's hard to get an accurate gauge on it. I've heard Century and Normandale are typically the most competitive, with Inver Hills being the middle ground between them and the less competitive schools further from the metro if that makes sense.

Good luck to everyone!

Does anyone know if NHCC still has evening and weekend classes in their nursing program? I've applied for Spring, 2018.

I don't think they offer evenings/weekends anymore. I think they stopped that fall of '16.

Hi everyone! I'm applying to ARCC only with a 3.5 GPA and a 13.3 composite. So excited to finally start nursing school! Best of luck to everyone this round :)
