Johns Hopkins University Masters Entry into Nursing Spring 2016

I figured I would start a thread for those students who are applying or did apply for the Johns Hopkins Masters Entry into Nursing program for spring 2016.

I rang - they said letters have NOT been mailed out yet and will be received this week or by the end of next week!

More sitting tight

We just have to hope they mail out tomorrow or Friday so we receive letters by Saturday

According to admissions, just a few minutes ago...Notifications have not been sent out yet. They are hoping to have them sent out by the end of the this week, or early next week. So we should anticipate receiving notifications by the end of next week I guess.

Ugh so more waiting and anxiety

Hi everyone! So, I have had a terrible time sending my GRE to them.:arghh: In the process of it all, they told me to have it in by September 15th if I wanted to be considered for the spring admission. This morning I called and they said they have Not made decisions yet and did Not send out any mail. My guess is, since my email said to have it in by the 15th, it's a pretty good guess they won't send acceptance letters until then.

Sit tight and all we can do is hope for the best! Good luck to everyone!

Hmm those are two pretty different answers from admissions. Well hopefully it's sooner than later!!

If anyone wants to call ask to speak to an admissions counsellor - usually have more accurate information vs the person who answers the phone - the latter tends to be very vague!

Does anyone know the admission stats for JHU? It is hard to know what my chances are when I don't know who gets accepted!

All that we were told during one of the online info sessions was that the total average GPA of the first masters entry class was a 3.4 and a competitive GRE was a 50th percentile or higher and that less then 50% of people are accepted

I think it's more like 30% - for the first masters cohort there were 3 applicants per available space.

This year it may be more - who knows how many applied!

The overall rate of acceptance at Hopkins is something like 13%!

It's a very big achievement to be made an offer from them!!
