- if you are currently applying what are your current points including teas scores if you would like to share ?

- if you were admitted in 2016 or 2017 what were your points and teas scores ?

Hi,

I applied to Lenoir CC, Edgecombe CC, Wilson CC, Pitt CC, Wake Tech CC & Beaufort County CC

Hey ! Did you get accepted anywhere? I got accepted into james sprunt RN program , Sampson and Edgecombe LPN program and Lenoir has me on the waiting list for both PN and RN . I'm waiting on Wayne Community College and Wilson now. I'm not so sure if I'll apply to pity anymore.

I got accepted to Lenoir LPN & waitlisted for their RN and just received notification for Edgecombe RN! I'm so excited! I accept the LPN at Lenoir but now have to give up my seat since finding out about Edgecombe! PCC and Beaufort deadlines haven't passed yet so I'm not sure if I will apply. I may apply for PCC because I live in Greenville. You know where you are going to go?

Thats awesome !! Lenior is tough to get in and you got the top one !! Way to go !!!! I'm hoping I get I'm at Wayne cc because I live on the same street as the college but if I don't get accepted there or Wilson cc I will take the RN at sprunt . I will know next week about Wayne cc so í ¾í´ž..

I'm nervous about doing RN because I have friends who got in and couldn't make it through the first semester and that scares me a little but I've spoke to RN's at my job and was told it's best to just go straight through and not do LPN

Oh wow really?! Have they had any clinical experience in the healthcare field? I am extremely nervous but trying to remain positive. I have a friend who is a RN and she was totally against me going for LPN until I explained the bridging from LPN to RN. But she was only against it because of course it's more money because it's more semesters. About 7-8 total just to reach RN from LPN I believe. Just happy that I have the opportunity to go straight through the program. I take classes at LCC but don't know much about their nursing program.

Be sure to keep me updated!Im waiting on Wilson also. Congratulations!! Go US!!!!!!!!! Lol

Yes a lot of RN's tend to look down on the PN program because of the money but I feel the selection between RN and PN should solely be based off what your life situation is such as if you have to work full time and take care of kids then PN would probably be much better but I've seen RN's go through nursing school with a family and still successfully complete the program on time. Guess it all depends on how bad you want it . And like you , I'm excited to have the opportunity to choice between both programs as well but I don't want to make the wrong decision based off what others think you know ? What was your teas score if you don't mind me asking ? I was accepted into Wilson's PN program in 2016 but had to drop due to childcare issues . It was hard balancing a 3 year old and nursing school with a full time job so I dropped and gave myself time to get a better plan together.

I totally agree. Whatever works best for a particular person is what they should base their decision on. I'm all for either one. I currently work fulltime at the hospital along with school courses this semester. I have a 9 year old daughter. I will make it all work somehow! I made it this far so I refuse to let myself fail. Whatever decision you decide to make just be sure it's what you feel comfortable with. Also stay positive because it goes a long way! I believe I got a 78.7 on my TEAS. I took it back in early February. How about you?

You did great ! I know you'll get in Wilson cc for sure ! I didn't do so well , I made a 69.5 . And judging from my situation , my husband just got full custody of two of his children ages 2 & 8 I have a 4 year old daughter and a 2 year old daughter and I'm a Stay at hom m . I've been doing school full Time since I've been married , my husband pays all the bills so That's a blessing ! I'm just worried about being able to juggle the kids and the RN program. My heart is set on TN but I'm not sure if I should take on that much .

Thanks. It might not been as high as you wanted it but you still got into a program! and RN at that! You should be very proud of yourself. That's definitely a blessing because a lot of people drop out or don't attend because they have trouble maintaining bills along with attending school full-time. But if you feel like RN is too much definitely do LPN. Look at it this way. You will graduate next year with your LPN and then you can get a good paying job and if you decide you still want to do RN there is always the bridging program LPN to RN. You will already be in the field and will have the option to take your career further without starting from square one. I feel like either path is good. I would have done the LPN path if I didn't get into a RN program.
