I had my first clinical yesterday, but it wasn't anything big. We toured the hospital, sat and listened to lectures all day, etc. For the whole semester I will be working in the oncology unit. There will be one other student on that floor with me, but we still work individually after the first two weeks. Has anyone else had a clinical there, or worked there? I would like to know what to expect. TIA!!

We had our 2nd quarter- first "real" clinical with oncology- certain aspects of it were good- broad mix of meds- chemo (not that we gave them), pain relief, other stuff like HTN, IDDM, etc. But it was also hard because they are really sick patients (some of them). Just get exposure to whatever you can- follow someone around and see and do whatever you can.
