So far, I am on the wait list to get into the community college nursing program to get my nursing license. I feel so alone even though I know there are other people like myself out there. I know what I need to do...on paper at least. It would sure be nice to have someone else in my situation to talk to, collaborate with, bounce ideas off of, etc...
Anyways,
I am a volunteer at Phoenix Children's hospital but it doesn't seem to be enough. What I'd really like is to work as a CNA while waiting to get into the nursing program. I had my CNA license but found it really difficult to find a job since I had no experience in a healthcare setting. Well, after a couple of years and no luck getting a CNA, my license expired. I am now going to do the CNA course over again and re-apply for jobs. Does anyone have some advice on getting a job as a CNA in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area? It can't be that difficult, can it?
Also, does anyone have experience with the RN-BSN program at Scottsdale community college through NAU?
