Olympia Career Trainining Inst (LPN Progra) Grand Rapid, Michigan????

Published

Has anyone hear of Olympia Career Training Institute School Located at Grand rapids, Michigan for their LPN Program and if so can you give me the 911 on the program and the tuition cost??? Please

The LPN program is a year all inclusive and very intensive program that only requires a high school diploma or GED although any college credits are helpful in earning points as the most qualified applicants are admitted. Admission is 3 times a year (Jan, May, Sep) with some testing required to determine if you are qualified. It is an excellent program with all graduates passing their state board exam for LPN. Many graduatess go to an ADN program with advanced standing (only taking the 2nd year of the nursing program) vs. waiting to get into the first level of an ADN nursing program at a community college because of the long waiting lists.

I know that Olympia is VERY expensive, at least their Pharmacy Tech. program. It is a 9 month program, and it's about $9000.00 total. You may want to check to see if Olympia is accredited too, before you sign on the dotted line.

Good Luck!

olympia is definitely more expensive than a government affiliated school because our tax money subsidizes the cost of tuition in public colleges and universities. however, when you look at the tuition of private schools olympia is not as expensive as many - particularly when you compare the actual number of contact hours students in the pn program receive at olympia. there are 3 times each year that students are admitted to the pn program at olympia without a wait as long as the admission criteria is met. almost all other nursing programs have a long wait so within one year of admission to olympia's pn program you are ready to practice as an lpn earning an excellent salary and having advanced standing into most associate degree nursing (adn) programs. to obtain advanced standing in an adn program, the requirement is lpn licensure (which olympia students qualify and 100% have passed the exam) and the prerequisite courses required so the accreditation issue is not a problem. olympia is accredited. hope that clears up any questions or concerns you may have had.
