Hello all! How is everyone doing today! Thank goodness the hurricane wasn't as bad as it looked/sounded.

I am applying to CRNA school this winter/fall for the summer/fall 2009 year.

I am applying to:

*1) Baylor (Houston, TX)

2) UT at Houston (Houston, TX)

3) Texas Wesleyan (Fort Worth, TX)

*4) TCU (Fort Worth, TX)

*5) Kaizer Permanete (So- Cal)

6) LSU (La)

7) University of North Fl. (Jacksonville, Fl)

*- these are my top 3 picks

I am a BSN in a Neurosurgical ICU. I have been a RN for 1.5 years and will be a RN for a little over two once I begin CRNA school. I have experience with vents and ABGs, intraventricular drains, swans and HD, gtts, etc.

I am pending a GRE. I should be taking it within the month.

I am taking my CCRN in two weeks and have been using the Laura DVDs, books, and PASS CCRN questions. I'm feeling good about it.

Certifications include: PALS, ACLS, BLS, NIH stroke scale by American Stroke Assoc.

GPA- 3.3. I have a minor in Psychology.

My letters of recommendation will be excellent.

I have written an essay that my old professor said was "perfect". I am including it with all my applications... reguardless if they require an essay or not. I will also be handing in a resume to all schools.

What do you think?

BE HONEST because I am FREAKING! Everyone at work says I should be fine... but they know me.

THANKS!!! :o)

I know I am new but will someone please respond?

Thanks,

I don't think it sounds bad. You are giving yourself the best chances by applying to several schools. Good luck.

it soundslike you are ready. Once you get the letter saying you have been approved for the interviews. Then have people ask you some questions and get strong interview skills.
