Well, at times they might as well call us that because some pts think that I am their private duty hostess. This usually occurs when we are holding a long time for the floors. I was verbally bashed and accused of conspiring to keep the pt in PACU and not getting her a bed! I wanted to say "Lady, as soon as the floor says go I'll personally push you out of here ASAP!" Of course I didn't. We try our best and some people are never happy.
