My house keeping has gotten so bad lately, that today my husband threatened to hire a cleaning lady. I called his bluff and guess what? He called a cleaning lady to come in and start this friday! I'm so thrilled & relieved. It's been terrible trying to keep the house clean with 3 messy kids and a pig of a husband. How do you all handle juggling classes, studying, working, running kids around while keeping the house clean? I feel so blessed to finally get help!

i make my husband do it. seriously. :rotfl: right now it's just the two of us, but we manage to make enough mess! he's been really great about taking on cleaning responsibility... and i'm not even in clinicals yet! i'm grooming him.
actually, kudos on the cleaning lady hiring - several friends of mine who are busy mommy/career ladies/superwomen swear by them. when i'm done with school, i hope i can call one in at least 1-2x a month.

Not to brag but my boyfriend stays home so I can work. He watches my kid, cooks and cleans:nurse:

For me keeping house is like therapy. I like to do it...it helps me to pour all my energy into something else...other than nursing that is.

I don't. And it sucks because my husband was raised a momma's boy and thinks that if he cooked a frozen pizza that he has accomplished something. I love him very much but sometimes it drives me insane that I have to work, go to school, study, go to clinical, do clinical paperwork, and I still have to clean house and do laundry, etc. All I can say is thank God we don't have children.

LOL my house is pretty much a mess at all times!
I really only get a chance to clean on the weekends honestly but my husband does just as much work as I do. We are both full time students, he also works full time, we homeschool two girls, work out every night and the kids activities, by the time we are done with all that cleaning the house is the last thing on my mind.
It doesn't matter because I hate to clean and even during the summer when I am "off" it's still a mess....lol
Anyways, that is totally awesome you have house cleaning help, if we could afford it I would in a heartbeat. Way to go, one less thing to worry about huh?

My house is messy 95% of the time. I have a messy son and a very messy husband. Neither care that things are messy. It drives me nuts! My husband will do his share only if I get really mad. I think it's absurd that they can't ever pick up after themselves, a grown man and a 16 y/o.
Our daughter was the same way and now is married and has her own place. I must have done something wrong to raise good wonderful children but who are too lazy to pick up anything. Her dh loves to cook and clean and he does it all. Interestingly, her Bachelor's degree is in Home Economics !!
or as it is now called The School of Human Ecology.
I have decided I am going to hire someone to come in once a week to clean floors, bathrooms (3) and vaccum. I deserve it. I am so clean and organized when it comes to my work. I'm sure anyone I've ever worked with would be shocked to see laundry and dishes piled up at my home and lots of clutter here and there. Oh well, it's not the worse thing in life but it sure is irritating at times!!! :angryfire

I keep the bathroom and kitchen clean and I clear a path in all other areas. I spent all day last Saturday cleaning and putting my books in this container and a bunch of other stuff, but it's not clean anymore, so I give up.

My house is clean most of the time. My hubby helps quite a bit. There isn't much he doesn't do and the kids are old enough to do minor tasks. I worked and went to school full-time up until this past semester and my house was really bad then. Now I have more time so I fill my boredom with cleaning and studying. My 3 kids don't get home until almost 4 in the afternoon, I am home by 12 or 1 most days and that helps. Now cooking...well, let's just say my cooking skills are MIA. DH does most of that on his own.

Same here :) If it weren't for my husband, we wouldn't have any clean clothes or dishes.
Thank goodness for supportive, helpful spouses/partners!

I live with my long-term boyfriend. We share the cleaning 50/50. That way we can each have a few days of slacking off while the other one cleans up behind. Then vice-versa.
