Specializes in critical care.

many nurses have the altruistic dream of volunteering their skills in a lesser developed country ( formerly known as the third world...) , and there has been more interest in this over the past few years, as organizations such as sigma theta tau have focused on ways to promote this idea. nurses are global citizens..

in 2007 i did just that, spending the summer at a school of nursing in rural nepal teaching. i have many slides and short videos and props. i wrote a book about the experience titled the hospital at the end of the world, published this past may. ( you can find it on amazon dot com...along with some reviews...search by title or by name, "joe niemczura")

shortly after it was published i left for my third trip to nepal; and now that i am back it's time to have a book tour on the east coast! from oct 18th to the 21st!..... and so.....

on oct 20th i will be in philadelphia to give a talk about my work and my book. the talk will consist of slides, a short reading or two, a q & a session, and a fashion show.....

the exact time and location are to be announced.. check back soon! all interested parties are wlecome to attend. though it's not strictly necessary to rsvp, it would help me to predict who will be there, and to alert you when the details are more specific.

you can find a fan page for the book on facebook. to find it, enter the text of the title into the search box.
