Oak Point University

Does anyone here go to Oak Point University? What's their reputation like? From their Google reviews it doesn't seem like it is a good program, but I known nurses who graduated when it was still called Resurrection University. Just wondering if I can get my degree here and start working as a RN? I want to go to Oak point ($14k+) since it is going to be cheaper than going to Loyola's ABSN ($60k+). Any advice on what I should do?

Stay away as much as you can from this school. During role(last semester) they will do whatever  to keeping you from graduating. They don’t listen to their students.

Oh no, I don't have 60k+ to spend at Loyola. Exactly what do they do and how can I avoid them from holding me back?

They are so unorganized, don't like to help their students. Communication is not clear and will make up their own version of the ATI comprehensive which you have to take twice not just once. Last cohort you had to pass both times, if not you were held back with an "incomplete" until you completed 4 or 6 weeks of remediation and if you passed that then they will clear you for NCLEX. 60 out of 80 had an incomplete. Current cohort is going through the same thing. I would avoid that school at all costs.

Yikes! Will most definitely avoid. That honestly sounds like they try are trying squeeze more money out of you. Thanks for the heads up!

Yes! I don't recommend it at all. Definitely look into other options and consider this your last resort.

Honestly thinking about taking out a loan for Loyola. Don't want to waste another year applying to another school/community college to save money; just hoping to recoop my losses by working more.
