NYU job

Published

I applied to NYU lang around December. The interview with the recruiter went well and she sent me to the NM. The interview went well however there was no tour or speaking to co-workers. I did not get the job however the recruiter offered me another interview with a different unit that fits my 2 1/2 years experience in the ICU. This interview went well despite the NM being 30 minutes late. I got offered a tour by the NM and another tour by the assistant NM. The interview was 1 hour and it felt like conversation. I even spoke to some of the other nurses and got to ask them questions. The NM told me I would know by the end of the day. It's been 5 days.. I already sent thank you emails to the NM and assistant NM. The only one who responded to my Email was the nurse recruiter, saying "I hope to be in touch soon". Should I email the recruiter for a update ?

Any update on your situation? Hoping you were offered the spot!

I was offered the position after 2 months. I decided to decline because, for starters, the parking price was 22 per day, and the congestion price was 9 per day. The census was always low, so I would be floated a lot with an assignment.  The starting rate was 115,000 a year which I think was low for 2 years of ICU experience BSN. I interviewed for a night position, and then they changed it to a day position. I was offered a better position away from the bedside, with higher pay. The only pro was 1199 union.
