[NYC] Prospective Nursing Student on choosing a program.

Published

Hi everyone! I'm a 19 year old prospective nursing student currently attending a 4-year college that doesn't offer a nursing program, and I'm feeling super stuck on what to do next. I've been looking into private nursing schools for the reason being it doesn't require any prerequisites. I need some help deciding between a few options:

Pacific College: This is a BSN program that takes 2.8 years to complete. The coursework is online, which is a big perk for me, but it costs about $100k for the program.

Saint Paul's School of Nursing: Offers an AAS degree, which is more affordable at $50k, but the campus is really far from where I live. But definitely doable.

AMG School of Nursing: I'm still researching this one but open to hearing from anyone who has experience with it.

I'm trying to figure out what makes the most sense financially and logistically. Is it better to go for the BSN at Pacific even though it's hella expensive and I'm gonna be in massive debt. Or should I aim for the more affordable AAS at Saint Paul's and then take an online bsn program later on.

If you've been in a similar situation or know about these schools, I'd really appreciate your advice! I'm feeling super lost and could use some guidance.
