NY is becoming a compact state?!

Has anyone heard when this might happen?

I have a NY license and want to start travel nursing next fall so it would be AWESOME if this happened in the next couple of months : )

I will be traveling to NY this fall does any one know if they will be in the compact. I am from a compact state and it would sure make it easier.
