Nursing Students School Programs

Hello everyone. I will attending to valencia college(west campus) after I'm done with anatomy and physiology || and microbiology then I will prepare myself for the Teas Exam. My question is, I'm planning to take the tradicional track but I'm a lil worry because I have a 6 year old child and according to my research online this program is conducted Monday through Friday, during the day and evening so I will have class te days a week plus lab/clinical, is that's how is going to be must of the terms? Also, it says the last term I will follow the schedule of my preceptor, clinicals and or lab hours occasionally may be scheduled during the evening and night shifts and or during weekends so, what they exactly means? What hours because I didn't know what I would do with my daughter if I have to go weekends and or evening since I don't have literally no one to take care of her :( I hope there's is flexible schedules

Hey! I've applied for the Valencia/UCF concurrent course starting fall 2017. The Valencia portion is the same for both the traditional and the concurrent, it's all Nursing 1, 2, 3, etc. From my research and looking up the nursing 1 course schedule for fall you're only in school for 4 days, fridays are no class days. Two of the days you're there until 4pm the other two you're done at 11:50. Hope that helps!! Good luck!

and looking at past semester classes, nursing 2 for example, you're only in school for 3 days and one of those days is your clinical day.

Thank you ;) I know the classes are not bad I'm just worried about clinicals they like how many per semester plus the hours any ideas?

The clinicals are included in the class schedules (im not sure for the last semesters as you'd be following a preceptor). But if you look at past class searches for example in nursing 2 your clinical day is Wednesday from 6:30am-4:30pm and you choose which hospital you'd like, there are a few Florida hospital options as well as a couple orlando health options. I've read/heard that in nursing 1 you're in a nursing home (not totally sure if that's true) but if it is I assume those are the 2 days that are 9am-4pm.

Yeah 6:30am-4:30pm is not bad. I heard the the latest is 6:30am-6:45pm now that's a problem, enyways thank you í ½í¸Š

Also any ideas how would be the BSN program at UCF ? Clinicals hours specially

Admittedly I didn't look like past nursing 3 so I can't say for sure.

I'm not sure about the BSN at UCF and their clinical hours. I didn't even try for the traditional track through them, and unfortunately I missed the deadline for the accelerated BSN through them which is why I just decided to go with the concurrent program.

Oh okay well, good luck to you ;)
