Nursing (uOttawa/Algonquin)

Published

Hey guys!

I'm going to be starting the BScN program at uOttawa (Algonquin Woodroffe collab), and was having difficulty finding the answers to my questions about the program. If anyone who is currently in the program or just graduated from the program can answer my questions that would be much appreciated! I was a pre-health student at Algonquin last year and found it not too challenging, and fairly easy. I was wondering if the pre-health program prepares you for the nursing program in terms of the content and course load? Also, how is the nursing program at uOttawa? Is it harder than you thought? Do you enjoy the program? I've never been a straight A student until last year when I took pre-health. I was very driven and motivated to have the highest grades possible, and I did just that! I'm just doubting myself as I know nursing is notorious for being a difficult program, and a part of me is wondering if I have what it takes to succeed as I haven't always been a huge academic.

Thanks in advance!

Hey! This definitely doesn’t answer your question, but I’m in Algonquin’s pre-health right now. May I ask what GPA you had which gave you admission? Would really appreciate it!

Thanks so much! :)
