Nursing in the UK - Is it a Right Choice?

I'm Arun Kumar, a B.Sc Nursing and MBA graduate from India. I am currently considering to start my career as a nurse in the UK. However, various blogs mention that due to extreme work pressure nurses are leaving and the UK is not a good option. Please clarify.

Statistically speaking the numbers show more nurses leaving the register than previous years but this is multifaceted.

I would argue that the Tory government has made the NHS infinitely less appealing than its ever been, they made systemic changes that broke GPs and primary care, underfunded community care, cut nursing pay etc, cut bursary etc.

Then you have the NMC, one of the most inept organisations you can find that makes awful decisions.

I wouldn't dissuade anyone from coming here to work as a nurse mind, my job is to work with overseas nurses and they near universally agree that the NHS is actually still a good place to nurse compared to some of the places they come from and work, and this includes EU nurses.

Healthcare everywhere is a bit crap at points, you only have to look at the US threads to see how the culture of fear breeds mind boggling concerns from people 'A tablet went missing will I lose my job' etc.
