Nursing theory- how to make a schematic?

Published

I’m currently taking a nursing theory course and need to write a paper on my own personal approach to nursing. I have it all laid out but I need to create a schematic to illustrate it. Does anyone know how I can do that? PowerPoint and design tools I’ve seen online don’t really give the option of making it as intertwined as I would like (to show how each metaparadigm concept affects the other).

Suggestions?

You can always hand-draw (assuming you are okay with that) and then scan into computer. I did this a few times for illustrations for nursing school projects when I just couldn't get technology to cooperate for me.

There are other software programs out there -- some of which are good for that sort of work. Off the top of my head, I can't remember the name of one that is really good for making schematics, etc. But if you search, you'll probably one.

Where I found the program I can almost remember was in articles about making concept maps. Maybe if you browse a few articles about concept mapping, some of the authors might include what software they use.
