Nursing Student doing presentation on Oncology Nursing

Hi Everyone!

I'm a Junior I nursing student at Texas Woman's University and this is my first time joining a nursing forum, so I'm pretty excited about your responses.

Next week, I am giving a presentation on a Professional Nursing organization and I chose to talk about Oncology. Your input will be vital to my presentation. If it is okay, I would like to share some of your answers with the class.

Could you please tell me what it is like to be an Oncology Nurse? Why did you choose this area? What are the pros and cons? What type of person do you need to be? High turnover rate?

I would love to hear any special stories. Something that may touch a nursing student's life. :nuke:
