Here We Go!

More on the Nursing Shortage. The Government and the press wants to get involved. We are in for another ride. Problem is, if they reported on what nurses have to go through to provide quality of care to their patients, no body would want to sign up.

We all know the problems, Bad hours, no-help,poor pay (for what we have to do), on the job injuries (backs and knees), poor support from management, poor autonomy, nurses stabing nurses in the back, working holidays and weekends, poor training of new grads, education departments cut back to save money, poor equipment, etc, etc.

There needs to be some major changes to fix the nursing problem. More RNs are leaving nursing than are coming into it. I just hope for the sake of the patient, that something is done. They could start with more $$$$ :-)
