Hello! I have been accepted in to 2 nursing programs for my associates. One program offers days only and one offers days and nights. I have a son who will be 20 months old when I start. I am currently a stay at home mom so I figured the night program would be the way to go. I could still be with my son most of the day and then my husband could be with him while I was at school. The cost of daycare is ridiculous!
However, I have been thinking a lot about it and I am wondering when I would have time to study if I did nights. I am also worried my husband would get burned out. A lot of times he also has to continue working when he gets home and may not always be able to do so with a feisty toddler running around. The night program is also farther from home so that is something to take in to consideration. I am in the Midwest so winter will be coming!
Have any of you with kids found a day or night program easier? When did you do your studying? Clearly going back to school disrupts the life balance but did you find something that worked for you? Any info you could give would be truly appreciated! Thank you.:)

I don't have any advice because I'm in a days only class, but I want to wish you luck and I'm looking forward to seeing the responses. My son is 2 years old and he hates it when I have to study. I tell myself not to feel bad because when I get my LPN license it will be all worth it.
The night program seems like the best option in my opinion. What does your husband have to say about it? Daycare is so expensive. As far as him getting burned out, maybe you 2 could come up with something to avoid that. I don't know what, I'm just flowing whatever comes to mind lol. Maybe other family members or friends could watch your son sometimes.
I can't think of anything else and I hope somebody else has better/more helpful advice.
