I am in the process of applying to post graduate accelerated programs of nursing. This comes after 2 years of being in a post-bac pre-med program and coming to the realization that nursing is the better fit for my personality and the type of career and life I would like to have. This in addition to the fact that my experience with medical doctors have just not been the best and has jaded that whole profession for me. I am however having difficulty putting this into prose without making it sound like I am bashing the medical field and flip flopping. I feel like it is necessary to explain why I have had the change of heart because I think they will know when they look at my transcript that I was on a medical school route. I feel this may be to my detriment in the application process and I want to show that I am dedicated and very serious about pursuing a career in nursing. Any suggestions?
