Nursing school in Australia

Published

Hi everyone! I just got accepted to the University of Sydney for a MSN program. I just got back from spending a semester there and while I was there loved it so much that I thought I would apply to the MSN program. Well I've been accepted, but now am facing a difficult decision. The program at Sydney starts in early March as their academic year coincides with the calendar year. But I won't have heard back from most of the schools I applied to in the US by then. My gpa isn't so hot so I'm thinking I probably won't get into any of the schools I applied to stateside anyway. Also, my mom thinks that in the long run going to school out of the country could present problems down the road with licensure, etc. I absolutely loved living in Australia and I think I left a part of me there when I came back to Cali. The program is 2 years, which in the long haul of things isn't that long. Could going to school abroad be problematic to registering as a nurse when I return? Cheers in advance for any advice you can give!
