nursing salary down south

I plan on moving to memphis,TN after I complete my RN degree in Omaha,NE. Does anyone know the pay there n memphis? what about CRNA's? I plan on going to the university of TN health science center for my BSN,MSN, and maybe doctorate? anyone know of that college? whats it like. I am so ready to get out of omaha,NE and start a LIFE (kids, marriage,MONEY, etc).

I have a question about the doctorate. If CRNA doesn't work out I would like to do research, if I get a phd. What exactly does a person with a phd doing research do? refer me to a website if you can.

Yes I have alot more questions to come because I am a young woman with ambition and alot of energy to go with it ;)

Have you tried salary.com? Or try posting in the TN forum for some area specific information.

I know a little bit about the Memphis area, since I live in Mississippi (and not too terribly far from Memphis), but I haven't even started nursing school yet - I can't speak on the quality of the schools, hospitals, etc

I am moving to Nashville next year and what I hear is around 17.75 at vandy for a new grad
