Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I am a Prenursing Student in North Central Texas (Close to Dallas). I was interested in finding a job that is medical related while I am in school. What are some paths I can take? I would like to avoid taking additional classes on top of my 16 hour load (E.g CNA Course). Unless if it is thought that it could be handled easily without compromising my grades. I want to start making connections and getting some hands on experience. Thanks for any advice you may have! :)

The best experience is cna experience, try to see if there is an accelerated course. I do understand about the time issue with having a 16 hour load. I have been a cna for 6 years and worked skilled nursing, assisted nursing, hospitals, and home health, and have gotten into a little of everything. Not sue about Texas but in NC a lot of school's require you to have your cna before applying especially the rn route but not the pn hth.

The main obstacle I am facing with the CNA route is find one that is located close to the University I will be attending. They do not have their own program. I searched for online CNA programs and they all seemed like shams. Is their such a thing as a legitimate online CNA course?
