Nursing jobs in Cincinnati, Ohio

U.S.A. Ohio

Published

Hello all! I was recently accepted into a nursing school for my MSN in Cincinnati, OH. I am wondering how the job market is there for nurses? I am from California and I've been accepted into several programs in different states and I LOVE this one but I'm trying to make the most informed decision. I got my degree in a field that didn't lend itself to many jobs and I don't want to repeat the same mistake.

Thank you!

I am in a LPN to RN bridge program most likely at the same school your attending and the job market has improved for nurses overall for sure since the recession. Many new RNs I know have had an easier time getting jobs in hospitals (few years ago that wasn't an easy task) and I know for LPNs the job market has opened up more...I have seen sign on bonuses for both titles for the first time since I graduated in 2008.

Cost of living here is nice as well :)

Thank you for all the information!

The cost of living is definitely great! I like Ohio a lot, I just want to make sure I am making the best choice so that I can support myself and pay off school loans when I graduate.

Are you doing the Xavier direct entry?
