i had to watch the movie gran torino, which i did, and i have to write a short paper on it. i have to "identify 1 character in the movie as your"patient". apply the nursing process ina culturally sensitive manner by identifying 2 nursing interventions that wouldbe beneficial for your "patient" at any time during the movie. make sure these interventions are appropriatefor the cultural background of your "patient". "
i picked sue, and my "interventions" for her are for depression after walter is killed and treating wounds/how to deal with getting beat up by the gang. am i even on the right track?? now sure how these could work at any time through the movie, except how to watch out for yourself and realize how you feel. any help is appreciated!!!

You could go with Depression r/t death of Walter r/t whatever evidence you have goes here.
You could also go with Impaired Tissue Integrity: Wound r/t injuries resulting from attack by gang members r/t whatever evidence you have goes here.
Of course, with Impaired Tissue Integrity: Wound, you also open yourself up for this: Risk for Infection r/t wounds sustained during attack by gang members.
The things you have listed, however, are not interventions, what you have listed are two nursing diagnoses. I think that's great, because I don't see how you can really have any specific interventions if you have no clue what kind of nursing diagnoses apply to your patient. I think you can take the two diagnoses that you have stated, tweak them (possibly using my suggestions), and then choose two interventions for each one. You should have bought a care plan book when nursing school started, and some suggested interventions should be listed in that book. Just remember, the interventions are what you are going to do to help treat the nursing diagnoses that you have applied to your patient. Good luck!
