Hello.
I've just graduated from a nursing school, my NCLEX is very soon (I hope I'll pass it and get my RN license soon). I started looking for a job, and since it is a difficult time, I am ready to accept any RN job in my area. I thought it is OK to get job in some Nursing facility for maybe a year, get some experience, and then start looking for a job at a hospital. (I actually like nursing facility better, I worked as a CNA for some time, but money is the issue).
My friend, who is RN, said me that this is a wrong idea. The hospital would better hire a new grad RN than a RN with 1 year experience from the nursing facility. Is this true???
Thank you.
