Nursing colleges

Published

I am a paramedic looking into going to school for nursing. I was looking at hondros college as a place to go since it is close and there is no wait list. I was wondering though if I get my degree from there will I be able to work in hospitals? I really don't want to work in a long term care facility, so will they accept my accreditations from hondros? Thank you for your time

From what I've heard, Hondros is a horrible school to go to. There's a reason why they don't have a wait list. The only national accreditation they have is the BSN degree, not LPN or RN. They're very unorganized and their NCLEX pass rate is low. Overpriced, I could go on but you could research

Ya I just did and they do not have any accreditations for the adn that I see besides acics which does nothing. They blatantly lied to me saying they were accredited too. Thank you for your input I appreciate it!

My boyfriend's sister said the same thing, that they said they were accredited. Yeah, big waste of money. If I were you I would just go to a community college. The community colleges in Ohio no longer require prerequisite classes. To get into Columbus State you just need your STNA and to take and pass the HESI.

So I'm guessing it's the same or similar at every other community college

I'm close to the Cincinnati area so I may look into Cincinnati state. I don't think it has a wait list. Does anyone know about Galen? It says they are acen candidates. What does that mean? Either way I appreciate all of your information. Thank you
