do nursing certificates transfer state to state?

I was just wondering if nursing certifications transfer from state to state. I have my CNA license in washington and am about to go away to school to continue working on my RN license in colorado but I don't know if my CNA license is valid there. How would I find out if no one knows?... thanks!

I believe these certifications are non-transferable. To find out the specific requirements of CNA certification (not license), you need to contact the Colorado Board of Nursing: http://www.dora.state.co.us/nursing/contactus/contactus.htm
