Feeling inadequate

  1. I graduated with my BSN in 2015 and had a baby almost immediately after. I decided to take time off to raise my kids (had a 2 yo already) but did nothing to focus on my nursing career since. I am now looking for my first job and have applied to at least 50 places, both for regular RN jobs and new grad rn jobs. I know I did well both academically and clinically while in school, and I have no doubt that once I am back in the clinical setting I will catch on quick.

I know it was a huge mistake to not keep up with nursing during my break, but now I feel completely inadequate, especially when I interview. It's almost like I can't remember anything I did in clinicals. I don't regret the time I had with my kids, but I am feeling really discouraged and disappointed in myself.

Anyone have any advice for me? I cannot afford to do an RN refresher course, hence the reason I am now looking to start my career. Thanks.
