Nurses Career Support

Hi everyone! I recently applied to Baptist Health Miami Versant RN residency that starts August 20th, 2018. I saw that the application is now closed so I wanted to get the conversation started and see if anyone has any updates so far? Best of luck to everyone who applied! :)

I received a call this morning to go over my preferences and was told that they are beginning specialty area interviews (ICU/ER) this week and all call backs for those will be done by next Friday. Medsurg interviews will come after and go until July 12.

Are you already a Baptist employee?

just curious if they're calling internals only so far or everyone

I am not a baptist employee, I only received the call last week about my preferences nothing as far as an actual interview yet. I was hoping for a speciality interview, but it seems to be very competitive to get one if you're not associated with Baptist. Staying hopeful though!

Hey, when you said medsurg interviews will go until July 12, do you mean the actual interviews will be done by then? Or is it they'll be calling until July 12 and the interviews will happen July 13 until they're done

From what I was told I believe that they will be done with interviews by then. I still haven't heard anything back from my initial call though so I'm getting a little nervous as to whether I will get an interview...

I had my phone interview June 6th and haven't had a call back either. Have you considered calling the HR recruiter?

I haven't called back because I do not have the contact info for the recruiter that previously called me, but I am considering calling the HR department this week to check in and see if I am still under consideration or not.

Hi everyone!

So so here's my update and hope this helps. I was called on June 6th for a phone interview. After my phone interview, I was called the following Monday for an in person panel interview at Baptist main ER for Tuesday the 12th. They explained to me they were holding interviews from June 12-July 11th. The first half for specialty and the second half for non-specialty. When I finished my interview, they explained we should hear from them by this week (3 weeks) so I believe they started making calls for specialty yesterday and all throughout this week.

you do not need any prior experience because this is a new grad program! They also give you time to complete your NCLEX (I already took mine and passed)

i hope this helps! If you guys have questions, let me know!

Hi! I only received a call for a phone interview, but never an in person interview. I am assuming you already had your in person interview? I tried calling HR and they did not want to talk or give me any sort of timeline so I am not really sure what to expect...

Hi! I also interview for the ER, mine was on June 20th and I'm still waiting for a call. What does your application status said? Mine says completed, I have no idea what it might mean.

Hey! I went for an interview today and despite them saying last call backs for panel will be July 11, they called me the 13th!

Has anybody been given an offer yet? Or is everyone still waiting for a response.
