Hello, I am a former nursing assistant. I worked long-term care and in orthopedics at a nearby hospital. So, I know the ropes of nursing assistant employment. I also obtained a certificate in phlebotomy, but never sent the certification exam.
I am now legally blind. I am totally blind in my left eye and 20/200 - 20/250 right eye. I have decreased peripheral vision in that same eye. This is with correction.
Could someone like me get back into the nursing assistant field? I would love to become a patient care technician or yet my certification as a nursing assistant back.

I know that if I was to do the patient care technician, I would be trained to do the EKG and these are phlebotomy or something to that extent.

I know that I can use the head mounted magnification for tasks that require magnification. But, what about the EKG and phlebotomy stuff?
I am not expecting my vision to get worse.
The vision is the only stuff that I am thinking about on all of this. Besides scheduling. But, that is something between the potential employer, and I and not for here.
